A Serious Case Review (SCR) was undertaken concerning four children who were the victims of serious sexual offences.The purpose of the review was to examine the involvements of the agencies that had had significant involvement with the children and their family, including those with child protection, child welfare and education responsibilities; agencies with criminal investigation and criminal justice responsibilities; the civil court response for the welfare decisions in relation to children and the criminal courts.The overall aim of this tendered work is to help to ensure that the lessons of the SCR are implemented in management and practice, and improve outcomes for children in need in these three localities.
