Review of Examples of Relevant Experience in Previous Rural Programmes

The Wales Rural Network is required to identify and analyse examples of transferable good practice and provide information about them, and to use this information as the basis for exchanges of know-how and experience, and to assist with training new organisations. Wales has a wealth of experience in rural development gained over the course of previous programmes, such as LEADER I, LEADER II, LEADER+ and Rural Community Action. In addition there are many examples of reviews of successful project activity across the UK and Europe under previous programmes.The purpose of the contract is to carry out a review of relevant practices on previous programmes, to underpin the work of the Wales Rural Network in supporting the development of existing and future rural project activity.It is the intention to award the contract no later than June 2010. The contract duration will run for a period of 6 months.The deadline date for return of tenders is Friday 23 April 2010.
