The Welsh Ministers on behalf of the Welsh Government (herein after referred to as “the Client”) wishes to invite interested consultants to revise a document entitled: ‘Access to Education and Support for Children and Young People with Medical Needs’. The guidance document was published in 2010 and an update is required.The current guidance document is approx. 100 pages, and is also referred to as the ‘Medical Needs’ guidance. It provides advice to schools and local authorities (LAs) on meeting the educational needs of children and young people with medical needs: http://learning.wales.gov.uk/resources/browse-all/education-and-support-for-children-and-young-people-with-medical-needs/?lang=enThe Client requires the Contractor to fulfil the following overarching aims of the project:•establish whether the Access to Education and Support for Children and Young People with Medical Needs guidance document is used by education settings with provision for learners aged 3-19;•identify if the document provides the type of guidance/support required;•assess the potential to expand the guidance to include further education settings; and•revise the current 2010 Access to Education and Support for Children and Young People with Medical Needs guidance document in both English and Welsh documents.The Welsh Government, on behalf of the Welsh Ministers, will be conducting this procurement exercise through the etenderwales portal https://etenderwales.bravosolution.co.uk Tender documents and other information must be downloaded from and returned through this portal.
