The BBC offices in Central Square, Cardiff were opened in 2020. It is an affordable, highly cost effective, flexible, and fit for purpose environment designed to sustain and grow creative success through the delivery of high quality, greatly valued, distinctive content across all platforms. Central Square is a building that enables the BBC to realise benefits for Welsh and UK audiences, meeting the needs of the BBC and its partners in Wales, and complementing the long-term production, property, and productivity strategies across the UK. Within the building there are two videowalls, one used for marketing, public engagement, and production activity – this is located in the Atrium. The second is located within the main news studio and provides the complete furniture for the news programmes. The Atrium is made up of Unilumin cabinets, whilst the news studio is Samsung. This RFI seeks review of the marketplace for Video Wall support. In summary the requirements are: 1) Annual Service of all equipment, including PAT testing and certification. 2) Annual Core System Health Check to include any LED maintenance. 3) Annual Mechanical Inspection and certification of load-bearing components as per PUWER/LOLER. 4) Annual servicing is usually carried out between the hours of 23:00 and 04:45. 5) Allowance for Call-Outs annually, to fix faults.The equipment covered by the RFI can be split into the two distinct areas of Central Square Atrium Video Wall and Central Square News Studio Video Wall.
