RFQ: Procurement of Diode Laser Systems
Descriptions
The National Physical Laboratory [NPL] requirement is for two diode laser systems operating at 852 nm (caesium D2 line) and 795 nm (rubidium D1 line) with frequency offset locking capability. The purpose is to create a system for optically probing atomic vapour at an adjustable frequency around atomic transition. First system (to be supplied to NPL Teddington) must include: 1.Diode laser system operating at 852 nm, single (frequency) mode, linewidth below 10 MHz. 2.Diode laser system including laser driver and temperature controller. 3.Diode laser system output power above 100 mW. 4.Offset locking photonics and electronics. Second system (to be supplied to University of Birmingham) must include: 1.Diode laser system operating at 795 nm, single (frequency) mode, linewidth below 10 MHz. 2.Diode laser system including laser driver and temperature controller. 3.Diode laser system output power above 100 mW. 4.Offset locking photonics and electronics.
