The Wales Co-operative Centre is inviting companies to quote for designing and developing a website for the organisation and its projects (including Social Business Wales).The purpose of the site is as follows:1. Increase knowledge and awareness of the Centre and its work - promote it as a centre for excellence and sector leader;2. Stimulate relevant enquiries for the Centre's projects so that targets are met.We require a website which:Looks good; is modern, clear, simple, accessible, engaging; and is easy for visitors to useIs flexible so that it can be easily developed further in the future with additional pages, content and functionalityIs on an open-source platform (such as Sitebuilder or WordPress or Drupal)Is easy for staff to update and maintainIs bilingual – English and WelshIs responsive so it displays equally well on mobile phones, tablets and other devicesComplies with the Shaw Trust’s Standard Level Award for accessibilityIncludes social media share buttons on all pagesIntegrates social media content including twitter and blog feeds so it feels dynamic and remains constantly up-to-date (not static)Has capacity to show video contentIncludes forms which generate emails with .xml attachmentsIncludes content on the organisation as well as its projects (including the Social Business Wales project)We anticipate that before the design and function specification can be finalised, we will need to hold detailed discussions with the chosen supplier to explore the best ways to maximise user experience and usability through design, function and information architecture.
