Outline specification for tender for Rigid Inflatable Boat (RIB) for scientific research survey and diving work.We require to purchase a RIB, complete with trailer for inshore research sampling and survey work and for diving/diver recovery. The vessel must be fully coded to operate within 20 miles of safe-haven and carry six passengers +2 crew for scientific survey/diving work. The vessel must be fully equipped with electronics (safety, navigation and communications) and safety equipment (examples given below). The quotation should include supply (and where necessary, fitting) of all ancillary equipment (anchor, warp/chain, additional safety equipment.Indicative vessel specifications:RIB fitted with single 115hp (or appropriately sized) powered tilt and trim, transom-mounted outboard motor, complete with prop-guard. Hydraulic steering and associated hardware. Twin-axle braked trailer with all winches and strapping and lighting board for road use.Heavy duty tubes with additional outer tube with additional reinforced rubbing strakes to protect when recovering light-duty sampling gear. Fitted with grab handles and life-lines (D-ring mounted on tubes). Bow stowage. Anti-slip deck. Bow cleat mounted to tube tops, vertical D strake and internal securing U bolt etc. Keel band.Heavy duty fuel tanks with shut-offs and consul mounted fuel gauge.Jockey consul with Perspex wind-screen and full electronics binnacle and storage beneath. Consul with S/S grab rail.Transom navigation stainless navigation frame fitted with all round navigation lights w/top anchor light and brackets for navigation equipment.
