Hafod are seeking to appoint a suitably skilled and experienced Roofing Contractor to carry out roof replacement works at a general needs housing block in Newport. The address for the property in question is below:Chapman CourtPenllyn AvenueAllt-yr-ynNewportNP20 4JHBidders will be required to submit a fixed price lump sum offer to complete the works, to include all preliminary costs with provisional sums clearly identified. Bidders should note that no additional preliminary costs will be paid for any contractor delay(s).The property will be occupied during the works, and as such the appointed contractor will need to demonstrate the ability to manage appropriate tenant liaison.The works required include the removal of the existing roof coverings, rainwater goods and lead flashings to all tiled roof elevations of the building, and to prepare, supply and intall new modern roof tiles including necessary rainwater goods and flashings.Hafod will be looking for swift completion to minimise disruption to residents. Further information and specifications for the work can be found at Appendix A.The appointed contractor will be expected to maintain a close relationships with Hafod during the delivery of the works and liaise regularly on project progress.
