Kilnbridge have secured the HS2 Old Oak Common Station Works Package WP10.2 for construction of the Headhouses and Ancillary Buildings. Part of the scope requires the design, manufacture & installation of various roofing systems to satellite buildings around the station complex. Those buildings include the following: • South Portal • West Core • East Core • Train Crew and Catering Building • North Portal • Cycle Hub • Interface sub station • East Vent The package includes Various roofing systems and build ups and will include a range of different specification and performance criteria such as: - Polymer primers - Liquid applied waterproofing (to meet required specification) - Various Membrane types (to meet required specification) - Water flow reduction layers (to meet required specification) - Insulation (to meet required specification) - Vapour control layers. - Drainage outlets and assemblies with compatible leaf and gravel guards - Inspection chambers - Concrete paving slabs and pedestals - Zinc double seam standing roof - Aluminium Standing Seam Roofing - Perimeter Gutters - Pressed components/ accessories with a polyester powder coating finish - Drainage edge channel with stainless steel grating - Movement/expansion joints - and all ancillary items where required. This includes detailing all openings including additional supports around the openings. Works include also mock ups, samples and quality benchmarks. Specifications and performance requirements included but not limited to - Materials fire classification BROOF (t4) in accordance with BS EN 13501-5 - Acoustic BS EN ISO 354 ( as required by the acoustic consultants ) - BS EN 507 'Roofing products from metal sheet. Specification for fully supported roofing products of aluminium sheet - Thermal Performance Requirements - BS EN 14782 'Self-supporting metal sheet for roofing, external cladding and internal lining. Product specification and requirements - BS 5427 'Code of practice for the use of profiled sheet for roof and wall cladding on buildings'. - Drainage BS EN 12056: Part 3 and BS 8490 - Condensation with BS 5250, BS EN ISO 13788 The Subsubcontract works includes the provision of all necessary People, Equipment, Plant and Materials for the design, testing, manufacture and installation of all roof systems The Subsubcontractor will be responsible for progressing the roofing schedule and associated Stage 4 drawings through design for manufacture and installation. This will require submission to, and acceptance from, the Subcontractor, the Contractor's representatives and the Employer to ensure the provided Sub subcontractors design satisfies the intent prior to construction. All in accordance with the Contractors design procedure and technical assistance requirements.
