Route Contracts Mini Competition January 2025
Descriptions
1.1 The Council wishes to procure various Route Contracts for the Provision of Home to School Passenger Transport Services for children with special educational needs. 1.2 There are 17 (seventeen) Route Contracts (please see Appendix A for a list of Route details). 1.3 Each Contract is for the undertaking of a single transport route to and from a school or other specified premises (the "Premises"). This type of call-of contract is called a "Route Contract" in the Framework Agreement between the Council and the Bidder and will typically involve the deployment of a single vehicle to undertake a single route to and from the Premises to transport SEN pupils. 1.4 The commencement date for the Routes Contracts is 1st January 2025, for an initial 24-month period. From 1st January 2027 there will be an option to extend each Route Contract by up to 12-months. 1.5 This Mini Competition has been issued via the Council's e-procurement portal, in-tend under the Passenger Transport Dynamic Purchasing System (DPS) in connection with a competitive procurement. This procurement exercise is to be conducted in accordance with the Council's Contract Rules and the Public Contracts Regulations 2015. The purpose of the Mini Competition is to invite you to make a submission for the Contract/s and for no other purpose.
