Safe Haven & Crisis Houses (Kent and Medway) Market Engagement

Descriptions

***This advert is for market engagement only - this is not a procurement at this stage*** NHS Kent and Medway Integrated Care Board intends to undertake a procurement process for the provision of Safe Havens and Crisis Houses. The Crisis House service should provide a safe and therapeutic environment for service users who are experiencing a crisis, but do not necessarily have medical needs that require hospital admission. The Crisis House can help avoid the need for service users to go into hospital or provide support to help step down service users from stays in hospital. The Safe Havens service should incorporate clinical support with the current safe havens and crisis well-being cafés through 9 safe havens of which: •3 will offer 24/7 rapid access and assessment. They will be co located on general medical acute hospital sites - open access 3pm to midnight (outside of these times access will be via professional referral) - staffed by a blend of support workers and clinicians •6 will operate 7 days per week in community based settings - open access 3pm to midnight - staffed by support workers The contract duration is expected to be 3 years with up to a 2-year extension option. The indicative total contract value (over 5 years) against anticipated activity trajectories is expected to be approximately £13million. The commissioner has published this Prior Information Notice to support pre-procurement engagement only at this stage. The objective of this engagement is to help the commissioner finalise the financial model, service model and procurement strategy. Providers are invited to attend a virtual market engagement event which will focus on the service specification/requirements, financial model and an overview of the procurement process. The event is scheduled for 11th July 2023 at 10am. Providers will also be invited to schedule 1:1 meetings with the commissioner following this event to further discuss financial model, service model and procurement strategy. Further event details will be communicated to registered providers. Providers are asked to complete a short questionnaire as part of the registration process.
