Contract for the maintenance of safety cabinets on a preventative basis, within Abertawe Bro Morgannwg, Aneurin Bevan, Cwm Taf & Hywel Dda Local Health Boards, together with Public Health Wales and Velindre NHS Trusts. Please see below for more detail:-1.The Contractor shall undertake the number of planned preventative maintenance visits specified on the equipment schedule.2.Filters are to be changed at each visit (the cost of this must be included in your tendered price).3.The following tasks are the minimum to be carried out at each visit:-•Decontamination by Hydrogen Peroxide Vaporiser Unit (using equipment owned by the contractor)•Filter and seal integrity to be checked using an oil aerosol penetration test•Test airflow velocity and adjust as necessary•Inspect all internal and external surfaces as well as extract duct to ensure there are no defects, cracks or other damage and that the duct is clearly labelled•Check that the non-return valve is functioning and clearly visible•Five replicate Operator Protection Factor tests using the KI-Discus method (to be performed once annually)•Calibration of laboratories’ anemometer to that of engineer (UKAS certified) proof of certification to be provided as part of your tender submission, failure to provide this will result in automatic disqualification from the tender process•Calibration of magnehelic gauges, if requested, traceable to UKAS certified equipment. Proof of certification to be provided as part of your tender submission, failure to provide this will result in automatic disqualification from the tender processThis list does not replace the manufacturer recommendations for maintenance which should be observed at all times.4.Testing of cabinets must be carried out to BSEN12469.5.A test certificate/report must be issued for each cabinet, these must be left with the end user at the time of service or emailed latest next working day after inspection. The certificate/report must include the following information as a minimum -5.1.Make & model of system tested5.2.Serial number of system tested5.3.Date tested5.4.Name & signature of tester5.5.Supplier details5.6.Evidence of the testing that has been completed and the outcome of each test5.7.Details of any parts that have been replacedAny costs associated with the above certificates/reports must be included as part of your tender submission.6.Cover requested is preventative, any emergency call-out requests between visits will be chargeable as extra along with any spare/replacement parts required during the planned maintenance visits or call-outs (excluding filters which, should be included as part of your tendered price). Please ensure that the additional information schedule provided as part of the tender documentation is completed and returned along with your tender submission.7.Invoices to be submitted for payment after each satisfactory planned preventative maintenance visit.
