Kent County Council (KCC) is looking for an organisation to deliver a Kent-wide Making Every Contact Count (MECC) Training, concurrently with a Train the Trainer Programme, to a range of professionals working across the county.r r The purpose of the Tier 1 Making Every Contact Count (MECC) training is to equip individuals within the wider workforce with the necessary skills, knowledge and understanding, to feel confident in having holistic, opportunistic brief health and lifestyle conversations. Staff trained in Tier 1 MECC will take every opportunity to support the population to make informed decisions about their lifestyle choices to help enable them to lead healthier lives.r r The Train the Trainer Programme will equip individuals within identified workplaces with the necessary skills, understanding and knowledge to deliver further MECC training courses as part of a more sustainable MECC delivery model moving forward. r r KCC will be responsible for advertising and recruiting delegates for both courses, and shortlisting participants for the Train the Trainer Programme. The Provider will be responsible for all processes associated to training delivery, preparation, and management of the programme, including managing course bookings, supporting delegate queries and sourcing venues. The Provider will also be responsible for capturing evaluation feedback from all courses to assess participant satisfaction and the impact of the training has had, to support continuous improvement.r r •Tier 1 training should be delivered to approximately 750 people.r •Tier 1 training should be arranged at the ratio of 75% Online and 25% Face-to-Face.r •The 2-day Train the Trainer programme should be delivered in groups of 10, to approximately 86 people.r •The 2-day Train the Trainer programme should be delivered 100% face-to-face.r •Before the end of the contract term, the provider is expected to produce a robust evaluation report where they summarise and analyse attendance data breakdowns and session feedback.r r It is KCC's intention to award the contract in October 2023, with an expectation of mobilisation to be completed by the end of December 2023, and training courses to be delivered throughout 2024, followed by a brief evaluation period. All programme deliverables and invoicing shall be completed before the end of the contract term, by 31 March 2025.r r The Council is providing a maximum budget for this service: £76,500. r r The procurement process is being run as a Request for Quotation process via Kent Business Portal and full details are set out in the Request for Quotation document. r r Bidders wishing to express an interest in the opportunity must do so by 12:00 midday on 29th August 2023. r r Deadline to return quotations as detailed in the Request for Quotation document is by 12:00 midday on 11th September 2023. r r The procurement documents are available for unrestricted and full direct access, free of charge, at www.kentbusinessportal.org.uk.
