SCC APC Commercial Catering Equipment Repair and Installation Services

Descriptions

Commercial Services (CS) as part of Surrey County Council (SCC) provides meals to the majority of Surrey’s schools and two civic sites under a contractual basis. CS provides the catering equipment and is responsible for the on-going repair of both heavy and light kitchen equipment. Annual servicing is excluded from the tender as CS is not obliged by virtue of their catering contract with the schools to offer this, the equipment belongs to the school and if CS were to cease providing the catering service to schools, the equipment would remain with the school. CS is obligated however to repair and replace an item once it is no longer fit for purpose. Contractors should be aware that as schools can opt in or out of SCC’s catering contract the number of sites can therefore change and award of framework does not guarantee minimum volumes of work. The purpose of this Framework Agreement will be to provide a service divided into lots for the repair and installation of electric and gas commercial catering equipment including refrigeration and freezer cabinets. These lots are listed below: LotDescription 1Repairs to Refrigeration/freezers/chill cabinets/cold rooms/refrigerated dole wells 2Repairs to Dishwashers and Water softeners 3Repairs to Combi Ovens 4Repairs to Ranges/Ovens/Atmospheric steamers/Bratt pans 5Repairs to Hot cupboards/counters/mixers/slicers/vegetable preparation units (VPU) 6Installation of dishwashers and water softeners 7Installation of Combi Ovens 8Installation of Ranges and Ovens 9Installation of Atmospheric Steamers and Bratt pans Suppliers can bid for more than one lot. Period of Framework Agreement - 4 years Period of Call off Contract - 3 years Possible Extension Period of Call off Contract - 1 year Number of Suppliers Required to deliver Framework Agreement for each lot: Minimum - Two Maximum - Five
