Surrey County Council is tendering its requirements for Short Breaks for children and young people with disabilities for Personal Support Services. A Short Breaks Framework was put in place which commenced on 1.4.2014 for:1. Play and Leisure,2. Residential,3. Personal Support.The Council envisaged that it may require additional Providers for Personal Support for the Personal Support Lot 2, and, therefore Surrey County Council plans to let another framework for Personal Support Services to encourage additional providers and competition within the market.The Framework will be divided into 2 sub-lots;1. Standard Personal Support which is the same services as the previous Framework,2. Personal Support for Children and Young People with Complex Health Needs which are for new Personal Support services.This framework will allow the Council to:— Continue to deliver Short Break services for children and young people with disabilities and their families/carers within Surrey;— Realise maximum efficiencies, enhanced value for money and better outcomes for children and young people with disabilities and their families/carers;— Aim to deliver savings where possible;— Increase competition amongst providers to achieve best possible rates with high-quality services;— Develop new, innovative and flexible services which will offer more personal choice to a wider range of children and young people with disabilities and their families/carers;— Improve outcomes for children and young people with disabilities and their families/carers that can be monitored and performance managed.Framework Agreement for 2 years and 6 months.This is a notice for social and specific services in accordance with Directive 2014/24/EU Article 74 — Health and Social Work Services.
