Peel Ports require a replacement SAN solution to address current challenges with storage capacity, backup windows and unstructured data growth. Growth of Peel Ports structured and unstructured data is predicted to increase and therefore a new SAN solution is required to refresh the current platform which is now approaching capacity and predicted lifespan.The new solution will include but not limited toFive-year plus life span with modular scalabilityBusiness continuance features such as local and remote replicationGranular reporting and monitoring, specifically with respect to performance and capacity analysisBlock and file accessThin provisioning and general space efficienciesOn-going support and maintenance for duration of the contractReplacement SAN fabric using 8GB FC or FC over EthernetImproved Backup and archiving options to reduce tape backup windowInitially 80TB with capability to blend disk types inc SSDProposed solutions will also include technical implementation services to integrate with the existing data centre environment as well as the tools to seamlessly migrate all existing data from current live volumes to the new platform, with little or no disruption to Peel Ports business operations.
