The tender is split into 4 lots, covering: — Medway Ports,— Clydeport,— Great Yarmouth and— Mersey (which encompasses the Port of Liverpool, Manchester Ship Canal, Liverpool 2, and Heysham Port). The detailed service requirements vary to some degree by location, but all require a supplier who is able to manage and motivate a workforce in a complex operational setting, provide excellent customer service, and deliver a secure and professional guarding service across the port estate. In addition, Mersey covers control of a CCTV operational control room. All ports also have areas that operate under ISPS code requirements, which mean effective (and auditable) searches and access control form an integral part of the requirement.
