Service & Maintenance of Wheelchairs
Descriptions
The current contract for the provision of wheelchair repair and maintenance will end on 31 May 2016 and, as a result, the successful service provider is expected to be operational, providing services from 1 June 2016. The contract will be for an initial term of 5 years, with the option of extension for a further 4 x 1 year, subject to satisfactory performance. Based on the current contract, it is anticipated that the value of the contract will be capped at £1,050,000 per annum. The successful bidder will be responsible for storage of wheelchairs and equipment, delivery and collection of wheelchairs, repairs on and off-site, reconditioning of returned wheelchairs, planned preventative maintenance and modifications of wheelchairs, as requested by a Rehabilitation Engineer.
