MMI are seeking suitably qualified project manager led full design team to develop the concept information as submitted to HLF for a Round 1 award through to completion of the works via an HLF Round 2 funding application. Full details of scope of works, consultants briefs and responsibilities as well as the full project description and form of tender are included in the full ITT information pack which can be obtained from the above address.A brief summary of the project is:MMI’s plans for the proposed HLF project ‘Sharing the Secret’ include relocation and creation of a new, sustainable and accessible museum with greater space for collections and facilities for archives, educational and academic activities, as well as temporary exhibition space, a café/restaurant and an extensive programme of events and activities.Situated on a five-acre plot in Milton Bryan, which also contains a lake and numerous derelict and semi-derelict outbuildings, the new site includes the Grade II listed, Political Warfare Executive (PWE) black propaganda World War 2 Recording Studio, Air Raid Shelters, and the Royal Family’s secret tunnel. These are all largely unknown. The project is a large capital project to restore the derelict PWE studio and 1943 garage to provide for an accessible and exciting new museum.
