Short Breaks are designed to provide enjoyable and inclusive opportunities for children and young people with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND), whilst also offering families and carers regular and reliable respite.

Services will include (but are not limited to):

• Holiday and after-school activities

• Weekend and evening youth provision

• Opportunities for children and young people with complex needs

• Mentoring, befriending and community-based support

• Overnight and residential short breaks

The event will offer providers the opportunity to learn more about BCP Council's vision to provide short breaks services for disabled children and young people looked after across Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole, overview of BCP Council's latest data and find out about the procurement process.

The tender opportunity is expected to be published on Supplying the Southwest in December 2025.
