Name of Service: Short Term Support: Social / Activity Groupsfor children with disabilities and/oradditional needsPurpose of the Service: Through ‘Families First’ funding to provideshort-term support for families with childrenwith disabilities and/or additional needs.Term: To 31/03/17 initially.Where: Wrexham County BoroughGuide price: Dependent upon numbers of sessions andnumbers of children.To Provide: To provide social / activity groups ofchildren aged approx. 5-10 and 11-14 in thelate afternoon / early evening and / or atweekends and in the school holidays. Staffmust be appropriately qualified andexperienced to work with this group ofchildren. Staff and Volunteers must be DBSchecked and supervised by qualified staff.Deliverables: To work closely with Wrexham Council andpartners, with the aim of providing a safe,stimulating and friendly environment insuitable premises in which children withdisabilities and /or additional needs canenjoy social activities and make new friends.To provide informal short-term respite forfamilies.Management: Management costs for this contract must notexceed 10% of the value.
