Shuttle Bus Service

Descriptions

The University is seeking to procure a Shuttle Bus Service (including drivers) for an initial period of 9 months (September 2015 to June 2016) as a pilot scheme to enable a thorough assessment of future service requirements. The pilot scheme will run between the St Mary’s Student Village which is opening in September 2015 and the Bangor bus terminal in Ffordd Garth.St Mary’s, and its neighbour Bryn Eithin, will between them house approximately 700 students. Access to the village is via Lon Pobty, off Bangor High Street, and a bus turning circle and bus stop is factored into the scheme. It is envisaged that students may alight at Deiniol Road (Station end & adjacent to the Pontio building) and Ffordd Garth itself though the University is open to suggestions that lead to a better service to students.NOTE: The authority is using eTenderwales to carry out this procurement process.
