Awarded
SIP trunks and Associated Telephony Services
Descriptions
The Isle of Wight Council invites quotes from suitably qualified providers for the provision of SIP trunks and Associated Telephony Services. The contract is to run from 1st April 2017 for a period of 3 years with the option to extend for a further period of up to 2 years at the sole discretion of the Council. Specifically the Isle of Wight Council ("Authority") requires a supplier of Internet Telephony Service Provider (ITSP) based telecommunications lines and services to provide SIP (Session Initiation Protocol) connections. Currently the Authority has a single SIP trunk delivered to County Hall, this is 100 channels on a 20Mb symmetrical connection. There are backup ISDN connections into two other locations, Sandown Civic Centre, Sandown and Westridge Centre, Ryde. Both ISDN's are 30 channel. The Authority is looking to develop our systems for improved flexibility, resilience and lower cost by further expanding our use of current technologies
