Medical Researchers at the University of Southampton are about to embark upon a research project involving a prospective clinical trial of patients with eye disease and is seeking to purchase three adaptive optics retinal cameras (adaptive optics scanning laser ophthalmoscopes), which must be CE marked.The project specifically requires mirrored fundus cameras capable of imaging photoreceptors as single cells as well as the retinal pigment epithelium (RPE) mosaic. A resolution of 1,6 μm with a 4º × 4º field of view and an illumination wavelength of 850 nm is suggested as an example.The University is keen to gauge capability and interest from the market to assist in our decision making.
