Soft Market Testing Mansion House
Descriptions
At the request of the Mansion House Trust, Newcastle City Council are carrying out a Market Sounding Exercise aimed at establishing market capability to deliver a managed service or strategic plan which can provide a significant and positive impact in further developing our current operational model for the Mansion House Whilst at this stage this is not an invitation for formal expressions of interest we are inviting Experienced Hospitality/Leisure trade companies to participate in a market sounding exercise. The aim is to gain industry insight on what skills, capacity and knowledge are required to manage or strategically plan development options for the future operation of the Mansion House with a view to evolving the Mansion House offer to ensure its sustainability and further maximise income. The contract specification would need to be agreed with the Trust and would set out the mandatory requirement that the successful tenderer(s) would need to work with Council operations to ensure there is strong cooperation and overall successful outcomes. There is an opportunity for interested parties to have a tour of the Mansion House by Council Officers to understand the history and location, to gain insight into the venue and the current position of the Mansion House. Interested parties will then be asked to submit initial proposals on their plan, with an opportunity for face-to-face meetings with interested parties. During these sessions we would be seeking information on how your organisation could feasibly evolve the Mansion House operation and further maximise income. Following completion of these meetings Officers will comprehensively assess supplier's reactions and feedback and make a recommendation on how it proposes to advance its market operation. Please note that the contract duration and value is currently unknown, the information provided in these sections of the notice are not accurate. Should you wish to book a site visit, please register on our E-Tendering Platform OPEN at https://www.open-uk.org and register your interest. Booking can be made by contacting Anne-Marie Jordon at anne.marie.jordon@newcastle.gov.uk before 5th June. Places are limited and will be allocated on a first come, first serviced basis. Following the site visits, interested parties will need to submit draft proposals via our OPEN before 17:00 on 27 June 2025.
