SOL CW Net Zero Neighbourhood ME 2025
Descriptions
Solihull Council’s Chelmsley Wood Net Zero Neighbourhood (CWNZN) project is part of the West Midlands Combined Authority’s Local Net Zero Accelerator (LNZA) program. This program is funded through the Department of Energy Security and Net Zero (DESNZ). The aim of the LNZA programme is to develop a replicable funding and delivery model for creating low carbon energy communities on a street-by-street or neighbourhood-by-neighbourhood basis. CWNZN is one of seven demonstrator neighbourhoods that have been funded across the WMCA region. Solihull Council wants to engage with the market to determine what model would be most effective in delivering personalised engagement with residents on net zero housing interventions and the co-benefits to residents’ health and wellbeing. We want to learn from organisations currently delivering services in this area. This market engagement also provides the opportunity for organisations to specify their interest in delivering services in Solihull.
