Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council (SMBC) is seeking a supplier to install and maintain a footfall monitoring system for Solihull Town Centre. Solihull town centre has long been a successful and popular town and has thrived as the high-quality retail destination and commercial centre we see today. Over the last 50 years Solihull has gone through huge change, evolving from a wealthy suburban neighbourhood into a successful and popular town with a thriving commercial centre, consistently named as one of the best places to live within the United Kingdom. The project is receiving up to £192,000 funding from the England European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) as part of Welcome Back Fund. The Department for Communities and Local Government is the Managing Authority for ERDF. Established by the European Union ERDF funds help local areas stimulate their economic development by investing in projects which will support innovation, businesses, create jobs and local community regenerations.
