The Food Technology Centre is seeking individual mentors and specialist to form part of an Innovation Framework to provide specialist knowledge transfer services to the Food Technology Centre as part of project HELIX.This activity provides opportunities to support on bespoke individual one to one projects through to working with larger groups. Activity will be undertaken at the Food Technology Centre and within company premises, occasionally outside of core working hours.The HELIX project has been developed by the constituent parts of Food Innovation Wales - Food Technology Centre at Grwp Llandrillo Menai, Food Industry Centre at Cardiff Metropolitan University, and Food Centre Wales at Horeb (Ceredigion County Council).The overall objective is a pan-Wales operation delivering knowledge transfer in technical and operational aspects of food production that aligns with Rural Development Plan 2014-2020 objectives of promoting strong, sustainable rural economic growth.Project HELIX will develop and deliver knowledge transfer activity focused on innovation, food strategy and efficiency to increase production and see waste reduction in the food chain.Project HELIX will gather information on food production, trends and waste from across the globe and transfer the knowledge to food producers, manufacturers across Wales.
