Forestry Commission Wales is inviting tenders to appoint a specialist training provider to develop in conjunction with and deliver on behalf of the Wood Energy Business Scheme team a comprehensive training programme for the duration of the WEBS 2 project that is due to complete in March 2013.The training programme is one element of the pan-Wales WEBS 2 project, being delivered across both the Convergence and Competitiveness regions.The objective of the training programme is to provide existing, start up and diversifying companies in Wales with support to train staff in areas of expertise relating to the design and installation of woodfuel heating systems and the development of woodfuel supply chains.The contract is split on to two distinct phases, and the successful Contractor must be able to deliver both phases.Phase 1 Design and Development of a Training Programme (for the Wood Energy Business Scheme)Phase 2 Implementation and Delivery of the (Wood Energy Business Scheme) Training ProgrammeThe Contractor will need experience of working with a range of businesses and individuals. In addition the Contractor will be responsible for managing the administrative elements of the training programme, including recruitment of participants, advertising & promotion of courses and the hiring of venues & equipment.The estimated total value of the contract will be approximately £218,000. Note that this is the value over the life of the contract.Our intention is to award this contract for a period of 15 month. The anticipated start date is Monday 2nd January 2012.
