Keolis Amey Operations / Gweithrediadau Keolis Amey Limited (operating as Transport for Wales Rail Services) is seeking expressions of interest from contractors with experience in the management of railway assets and delivery of enhancements at operational railway stations.In April 2019, an opportunity to tender for an initial series of works to supply, upgrade and refurbish assets at a selection of stations in Wales will be published via Sell2Wales.The initial works will likely include supply, installation and refurbishment of:•CCTV•Waiting room - refurbishment•Shelters•CIS•Cycle storage – including integration with CCTV and other services•Lining of car parks•Seating•Rebranding•Signage•Handrail•Stair nose edging•Car park lighting•FencingThese works are part of a larger £150m investment in a 15-year programme of improvements to facilities at 196 stations across Wales – further opportunities for which will be published at a later date.Anticipated programme•Issue of tender documentation: Early to mid-April•Tender period: 3 weeks•Contract award: Early May 2019•Start on site: End of May 2019 (for elements of the works)RequirementsTo be considered in the tender process for the initial works suppliers must:•Have RISQS pre-qualification relevant to the works being undertaken (https://www.risqs.org)•Be able to undertake the role of Principal Contractor under the CDM regulations – demonstrating experience of having undertaken this role previously.•Have documented systems for: Quality Management, Environmental Management, and Safety Management.•Sign up to and comply with the Welsh Government’s Code of Practice for Ethical Employment in Supply Chains; and•Demonstrate that they will comply with both the letter and the spirit of all relevant legislation, including but not limited to: objectives of the Environment (Wales) Act 2016, Active Travel (Wales) Act 2013 and Modern Slavery Act 2015.NOTE: To register your interest in this notice and obtain any additional information please visit the Sell2Wales Web Site at https://www.sell2wales.gov.wales/Search/Search_Switch.aspx?ID=91302.
