Background and scope The key external audiences for SPSO materials are members of the public and Scottish public authorities. The role requires working with the communications team to achieve our strategic objectives; in particular, ensuring our services are as accessible as they can be. The SPSO's remit has continually expanded since it was set up and has recently been funded by the Scottish Government to develop a child-friendly way for public bodies to handle complaints.
