The requirement is for a continued community meal Service to deliver a hot seasonal nutritional lunchtime meal and pudding to referred Individuals 365 days a year.The provision of the meal delivery Service is divided into two separate and distinct geographical Lots closely following the Social Care Health and Well-being Older People and Physical Disability team/clinical commissioning group boundaries.The Lots are:Lot 1 East KentThanet, Deal and Dover, Canterbury and rural villages, Shepway, Folkestone and surrounding, Ashford and Tenterden; Faversham.Lot 2 West KentDartford; Gravesend; Sittingbourne and Sheppey, Swanley, Maidstone and surround, Sevenoaks, Paddock Wood; Tonbridge and Tunbridge Wells.The service provider(s) for Lot 1 and for Lot 2 will deliver the following requirements:1. delivery of a hot, nutritional seasonal lunchtime meal and pudding to Individual's homes;2. a service available 7 days a week including Bank and Public holidays;3. ensured delivery to Individuals between the hours of 11.45 and 13.45;4. provision of a choice of menus addressing diet, cultural and medical requirements;5. compliance that all food is stored, prepared and delivered in accordance with the Food Safety Act 1990;6. provision of meals with a nutritional content that meets the requirements of the Longevity Centre (UK) report on Personalisation and Community Meals 2010;7. provision of a consistent service across the allocated Lot;8. measures in place to ensure all those working within the community meals delivery service respect the dignity and independence of those Individuals receiving the Service recognition that the recipients of the community Meals delivery are Individuals referred to the Service by a Case Manager.Further requirements are detailed in the Invitation to Tender documentation.Potential providers are invited to express an interest and download the documentation from the Kent Business Portal (www.kentbusinessportal.org.uk).
