St Paul's Bow Common, London — Urgent Repairs Project.

The Vicar and PCC of St Paul's Bow Common are seeking Expressions of Interest from Contractors for an urgent repair project to their Grade II* listed church which was awarded Best Modern Church (of the last 60 years) in the UK by the National Churches Trust, Twentieth Century Society and Ecclesiastical Architects and Surveyors Association. The project is supported by the Heritage Lottery Fund.The scope of works will involve:— repairs to the existing wood wool ceiling to the high-level lantern,— structural glazing repairs,— reroofing and repairs to flat roofs,— concrete repairs,— remedial works to pitch-fibre rainwater pipes, and— replacement of the below-ground drainage system and may also involve,— replacement of the existing electrical installation.The estimated value of the Contract is in the order of 250 000 excluding potential electrical upgrades that, if required, are anticipated to equate to a further cost in the order of 75 000 subject to the final confirmation of the scope of works.The tender period will be February 2015.The anticipated Contract commencement date is June 2015.Interested contractors are asked to submit their Expressions of Interest providing:— company background,— key personnel,— health and safety policy and recent track record, and— evidence of recent relevant experience.A proven track record for delivering successful refurbishment and conservation projects for listed buildings is essential.Submissions and any queries should be emailed to info@a-rme.com by 17:00 pm Friday 9.1.2015.Note: To register your interest in this notice and obtain any additional information please visit the myTenders Web Site at http://www.myTenders.org/Search/Search_Switch.aspx?ID=145729
