Nottingham City Council is looking to establish a provider of staff absence insurance to all of its schools and academies, in total a maximum of some 96 learning establishments. Previously staff absence insurance was provided in house but the move by schools towards academies has meant it is now necessary to find an external provider. The key end users will be schools, academies, pupil referral units, and learning centres.It is the intention of this specification that there will be options of a continuous policy and an annually renewable policy for insurance purposes, with a term of 3 years plus a possibility of 2 further year extension.
