Requirement: Strategy Support & Coaching for CEO Seven months into the role as CEO of The Water Services Regulation Authority (Ofwat), steps to improve the positioning, impact, and performance of the organisation are: • A strategy for the organisation that sets out a clear focus, distinctive impact, strong capabilities, and a high performance culture. • A leadership team that is more capable, agile, and cohesive - giving clearer direction to the organisation, prioritising more effectively, and developing their teams, for example by delegating more effectively. • A stronger relationship with the Chair so that they are more supportive to CEO and the Executive in public environments, and CEO will benefit from their experience and expertise. • A Board that is more able to advise and challenge on matters of economic regulation and policy - the core of Ofwat's remit - in addition to business issues, which they are more familiar with. • A closer alignment between the needs of the organisation and CEO as an individual. The work together will comprise: • A catalyst session • Completion of seven proprietary diagnostic tools • Completion of any other tools that Ofwat is using • Access to the Coach in between on an as needs basis, e.g. on email, text or call, to discuss an issue. • Ten Fortnightly sessions (typically 60-90 minutes) to discuss progress, share ideas, work out how to overcome obstacles. The sessions will be conducted virtually via zoom.
