WSMTC is seeking EOI from suitably experienced and qualified companies to provide professional support to Town Council staff by providing Structural Engineering Services at various Town Council Buildings and Sites in WSM, the contract will be for an initial 3-year term with the ability to extend by a further two years by agreement. The company will need to have proven and demonstrable experience in a similar environment and the wide-ranging skill bases to achieve the various elements of the contract: Structural Inspections and Reports, Engineering Support with Town Council Projects, Supporting the Town Council with management of their portfolio, defect diagnosis and structural assessments. Companies from whom WSMTC procure goods and services must demonstrate that all practicable steps are being taken to allow equal access and equal treatment in employment and service delivery, as appropriate to the nature of the contract. Following a decision made by WSMTC July 2020, the Council is committed to working with Companies who pay the RLW to their employees. Companies from whom WSMTC procure goods and services must be able to demonstrate and excellent H&S record, accordingly contractors that cannot demonstrate an excellent record, free from enforcement action, will not be considered. Companies must also be able to demonstrate how they provide social value with the work being carried out, within parameters set out. WSMTC will evaluate the EOI submissions received, and shortlist qualifying companies to invite tenders for the contract. EOI does not imply inclusion on the tender list. Tender documents will be issued mid-late April 2023. The evaluation will be in accordance with the following criteria, a fail under the H&S criteria will automatically result in exclusion from the tender list. An aggregate of 4 or more fails will automatically result in exclusion from tender list. -Proven experience in working as part of a project team providing engineering support in connection with alterations and refurbishment schemes in Heritage Buildings and Public Buildings -Financial capability -Proven experience in providing building advice in connection with Heritage Buildings and Public Buildings -Evidence of an excellent H&S Record (no enforcement action under legislation) -Confirmation that employees are paid RLW -Resources and availability to tender April 2023 and commence July 2023 Interested parties are asked to submit EOI to include their: • Company name, address, contact name and registration number • Company bankers name and account number • Details of any enforcement action under H&S Legislation • Brief details of two recent (within last 36 months) similar projects undertaken by the company (1000 words) • Confirmation that the company pays RLW • Confirmation that the company will be able to submit a tender and should they be successful, commence work July 2023 EOI should be sent no later than 12 noon on Friday 7th April 2023 to: development@wsm-tc.gov.uk
