Anglia Ruskin University is seeking expressions of interest from private sector operators to design, build, finance and operate additional student residential accommodation in Cambridge.Anglia Ruskin University does not have any sites available on which to locate the new accommodation and it is essential, therefore, that prospective bidders can provide their own sites for this scheme. As a minimum some of the new accommodation needs to be available for occupation in September 2014.The requirement is to be split into two lotsLot 1 Schemes that can deliver accommodation for September 2014Lot 2 Schemes that can deliver accommodation for September 2015 or September 2016.The scheme/s must:a) Provide a minimum of 50 student residential accommodation bed spaces in a single location.b) Potentially Anglia Ruskin University is seeking to source 500 student residential accommodation bed spaces, however we reserve the right to expand or decrease this requirement.c) Be located within one mile (as the crow flies) of the Anglia Ruskin University Campus on East Road, Cambridge.d) Provide 100 % cluster flats.e) Provide a room space standard to reflect a good quality development that is affordable to students.f) Set high standards of architectural design and incorporate both internal and external social and recreational space.g) Be made available to Anglia Ruskin University via a nomination/referral agreement that will ensure that the transaction is off balance sheet.
