Air quality management. The Department of Energy and Climate Change (‘DECC’) wishes to appoint a Supplier to undertake a review of electricity use by air-conditioning in the UK. This review will cover 6 main areas: a)Literature review and review of sales data b)Inspection of air-con maintenance certificates from the Energy Performance of Buildings Directive Register c)Re-assessment of existing monitored data from non-domestic air-conditioning systems d)New monitoring of air-conditioning systems in the non-domestic sector. e)Development of a model to estimate the electricity use by air conditioning in the UKf)Summary and recommendations to input to the policy making process.
