Newport City Council in July 2014 entered into supplier engagement with providers of day opportunities for individuals with Learning Disabilities and wishes to extend this invitation to organisations and community groups to participate in the same process for Older People and those with Mental Health issues.The Council wants to give organisations and community groups the opportunity to be involved from the very start in helping develop new services.The purpose of the Supplier Engagement is for the Council to gather the views of Participants to meet the following objectives:- to inform the Council of what is currently available;- inform specification and process development;- assist the project team in developing the procurement(s) to maximise competition and ensure sufficient market interest in the procurement(s);- to understand how best to engage with local and regional organisations, as well as organisations with different operating and commercial model that may be interested in supplying some or all of the services and to determine any particular risks and issues that need to be further considered.NOTE: To register your interest in this notice and obtain any additional information please visit the Sell2Wales Web Site at http://www.sell2wales.gov.uk/Search/Search_Switch.aspx?ID=21930.
