Supplier of plastinated specimens for the teaching and learning of anatomy

Brunel Medical School is seeking a supplier of plastinated specimens for the teaching and learning of anatomy. The estimated spend is in the range of GBP 650 000-GBP 1 million. From September 2021, Brunel University London is excited to be introducing a 5-year undergraduate degree in medicine leading to the award of bachelor of medicine, bachelor of surgery (MBBS). The new Brunel Medical School is part of the College of Health and Life Sciences. Our 5-year MBBS is open to students from outside the UK and EU. The College of Health and Life Sciences has a highly successful track record in the education of undergraduate and postgraduate students in clinical practice. Conditions that the supplier must meet 1) The Human Tissue Authority (HTA) codes of practice and standards including demonstrating consent for the donation of human bodies for anatomical examination. 2) Provide both plastinated specimens and plastinated sections (slices) as noted in the attached specimen list. 3) Plastinated specimens and plastinated sections are delivered by the end of June 2021. Brunel University London believes there is a very limited number of suppliers who meet the strict conditions required. However as part of our scoping exercise we are inviting expressions of interest from suppliers of Plastinated specimens who meet the strict conditions.
