The Council, as Statutory Harbour Authority has a requirement for the supply and emplacement of pontoons at three locations within Salcombe Harbour.Salcombe Harbour is a small harbour in South Devon which is primarily a recreational and leisure port for small boats, many of which are berthed alongside existing Walcon “system 21” pontoons which can be accessed from the shore. These are in Batson Creek and Shadycombe Creek. Demand for such berths exceeds supply and it was recently decided that the number of berths be increased. In addition there are 2 deep water pontoons at Dentridge and the decision has been taken to replace these with new pontoons.
