Tenders are invited from contractors/companies for the supply and operation of pumping equipment for transfer of landfill leachate from landfill site to road tanker.Wrexham County Borough Council requires the transfer of landfill leachate from the former landfill site at Llay to a visiting road tanker for off site disposal. The site, situated off the Llay New Road (B5425) at National Grid Reference 332990 354510, has a hard surfaced, all weather, internal road leading to a central leachate collection chamber from which leachate is pumped to a collecting road tanker.Wrexham County Borough Council requires the supply (hire or lease) and operation (including installation, fuelling and maintenance) of a suitable pump and associated equipment. The supplier will be required to liaise directly with the tanker/haulage contractor to arrange collection times and operate the pump equipment during those collections.The contract period is for 24 months with the possibility of extending for a further 24 months (subject to negotiation).
