Supply and Operation of Pump Equipment to Transfer Landfill Leachate

Wrexham County Borough Council invites tenders from suitably experienced contractors/companies for the supply and operation of pumping equipment for the transfer of landfill leachate from the leachate collection chamber at the former Llay Landfill site to a visiting road tanker. The visiting road tanker is being procured under a separate contract and procurement exercise.The leachate collection chamber is approximately 12 metres deep therefore leachate has to be pumped to the visiting road tanker via an in-situ high lift pump. There is no power to the site. Collections are made between 07.00-08.00hrs on each day.The Council requires the supply (hire or lease) and operation (including installation, fuelling and maintenance) of a suitable pump and associated equipment, including whatever is required to power the pump. The pump equipment must be suitable to survive a potentially corrosive environment and be safe to operate within a potentially methane rich atmosphere.
