The existing sauna at Newbridge leisure centre is no longer fit for purpose, as a result Caerphilly County Borough Council is seeking tender bids from a suitably qualified contractor for the Supply, Delivery, and Installation of a Sauna at Newbridge Leisure Centre.The contract period shall be one-off.This arrangement is being tendered under the Public Contracts Regulation (PCR) 2015 as an open procurement procedure and has been advertised in accordance the PCR 2015 requirements.The successful Supplier is required to remove and dispose of the existing sauna and access door, however, the existing control panel will remain.The Supplier shall supply, deliver, and install an electrically powered dry, hot air sauna in the existing sauna room located adjacent to the pool. The supplier shall complete all necessary water and electrical connections and integrate the system into the existing control panel.The sauna room is tiled and the available space is 2.8m x 2m x 2.2m high. Please note that these measurements are indicative and tenderers are required to take their own survey during the site visit. The sauna shall make use of all available floor space where possible.The sauna shall include benches, back rests, ceiling, and paneling constructed from timber.The sauna shall include suitable means of ventilation and appropriate low wattage lighting.All materials must be durable and suitable to their application and shall be supplied and installed in line with all applicable legislation, standards, and codes of practice.The successful supplier shall supply and install an access door to the sauna room constructed from toughened clear glass of a minimum 8mm thickness.The sauna shall be supplied with a minimum 12-month warranty inclusive of parts and labour.The successful supplier shall provide designated Council staff with appropriate training in the operation, inspection, and maintenance of the sauna.The project will be delivered with practical completion by Friday 28th October 2022Full details can be fund in the ITT documentationNOTE: To register your interest in this notice and obtain any additional information please visit the Sell2Wales Web Site at https://www.sell2wales.gov.wales/Search/Search_Switch.aspx?ID=124240.
