The Authority is in the process of creating their own laboratory at their Police Headquarters site in Bridgend which will provide Forensic Services including the analysis of controlled drugs for South Wales and Gwent Police.To ensure that the quality of testing performed in this laboratory meets the stringent requirements of ISO 17025, the Authority has identified that they require a Liquid Chromatography – Diode Array instrument for the quantification of controlled drugs and medicines in any form. There shall also be a reuirement for training and annual maintenance.
