Each 09TS cab has two HVAC modules installed on the underframe on the left and right-hand side (non-driver's side and driver's side respectively, The purpose of the cab HVAC modules is to supply fresh air to the cab and maintain the thermal comfort of those in the cab, principally the train operator.
