The College of Engineering at Swansea University wishes to invite tenders for the Supply of a CNC Slant Bed Lathe. After significant growth over the last few years, the College wishes to purchase an additional CNC lathe to satisfy manufacturing demands relating to an increase in teaching and research requirements.The CNC Slant Bed Lathe will be used for the manufacture of components for undergraduate and postgraduate projects and also for the manufacture of various test specimens from aerospace materials such as Titaniums and Nimonics. The Lathe will be sited in one the College of Engineering’s two engineering workshops alongside the existing machine tools and be operated by trained technicians.
