Community Energy Scotland is seeking tenders for the provision of 3 compressed hydrogen gas mobile store units to transport hydrogen from an electrolyser site on the island of Eday (Orkney, UK) to Kirkwall Harbour (Orkney, UK).The mobile store will hold a minimum of 250 kg of hydrogen at 200 bar pressure. It will be transported by road and by sea within the UK. Roads used are minor B roads where weight and length limitations apply, set by Orkney Islands Council. Transport by sea is made using RO-RO ferries (owned by Orkney Marine Services and operated by Orkney Ferries Ltd) that transport passengers and vehicles from and to the North Isles of Orkney.
