The requirement is set out in the Specification herein.We wish to purchase four a Controlled environment rooms for sheep with the option of using them as indirect calorimeters subject to the addition of suitable airflow measurements equipment and gas composition analysis equipment.The chambers should airtight and capable of housing an existing metabolic cage that is circa 1.5 M long by1 M wide and x1.8 M high. In addition there should be space for an operator to work around the cage. Chambers should be compatible with current Home Office guidelines on animal welfare.Capable of maintaining temperature in range 5-30°C and able to control relative humidity between 30-80%Be supplied with temperature and humidity control and logging.Have the ability to control airflow through chamber at between 5 and 50 volume changes an hour.Contain CO2 sensor that open a hatch at CO2 levels above 4000 ppm.
