Supply of Courier and Elected Members Delivery Service.

Descriptions

The requirement here is to provide a secure and reliable daily courier service that will visit Council offices around Angus delivering and collecting internal/external letters and small packages to an agreed timetable. The service will operate 5 days per week from Monday to Friday excluding Public Holidays. Angus Council's internal mail services have been centralised at Angus House, Forfar and the courier service will start and finish from this location. There is also a requirement to collect and deliver larger items on an ad hoc basis.There is also a requirement for evening delivery of mail to Council Member's homes generally twice weekly also commencing from Angus House, Forfar. However it should be noted that there is the likelihood that this requirement may diminish within the life of the contract due to a move to electronic delivery of papers. The Council expressly reserves the right to reduce the number of deliveries or to cancel this element of the service at any time during the term of the contract by notifying the Supplier in writing to that effect.
